Rio+20 The future we want – conference on Sustainable Development

Rio+20 the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development, began yesterday (June 13^th) in Rio de Janeiro, and between now and June 22^nd the conference will bring together representatives of the 193 member states of the United Nations and thousands of civil society representatives to determine the sustainable development agenda for the next few decades. More than 500 on-site side events organized by Governments, Major Groups and International Organizations will take place in RioCentro during Prepcom III (13-15 June), the Sustainable Development Dialogue Days (16-19 June) and the Summit (20-22 June).
